Add to it a period correct multi laminated tortoiseshell pickgard & voila. Its Ebony fingerboard has Mother of Pearl block inlays w/an abalone inlay surrounded by a black painted stinger on the back of its headstock. This New Yorker has a 18″ lower bout, hand carved spruce top, beautifully carved flame maple back & sides and a stunning flamey maple neck. The name D’Angelico was up for grabs for a few years & after master craftsman Jim Triggs stint w/the company, they looked towards Heritage Guitars to continue the hand made D’A guitars between 1993 – 1995 prior to selling the name off once again. This D’Angelico New Yorker is #10 of the 19 D’Angelico Guitars Heritage Guitar agreed to make in 93.
